I'm baaackk!

Hello blog world. It's been a busy two months and I apologize for being so out of touch. Life has been so so good recently and that's just all there is to it! My sweet friend, Ryan, reminded me of this blog I started and demands that I get with the program, so here are just a few updates for all of you who are sitting around waiting to hear about my life :)

#1. I celebrated my 19th birthday at the end of January (along with THE Brandon Delavar). I'm becoming such an old lady!

#2. I have FINALLY decided on a major! I am studying communicative disorders (speech pathology) and absolutely love it so far. Alaina and Kristen both changed their major to the same thing this semester so we are in it together and I'm so excited!

#3. My little sister has decided that she wants to come to UA next fall and I could not be more happy! I'm looking forward to living with her, and I think she will enjoy her whole college experience here. (Now we are just waiting on the acceptance letter! Haha)

#4. I finally got to take all my friends to the Land of OPPortunity, and I am so pumped that they all plan on moving there as soon as they graduate ;)

#5. At the beginning of January I was lucky enough to go to Atlanta for the week and go to Passion 2012-- one of the best experiences of my life. Now it's the beginning of March and I'm still thinking about it. It was an awesome week filled with God's presence.

#6. Summer trip back to NYC is in the works and I'm excited about doing that in order to celebrate my sister's high school graduation.

and last, but definitely not least..

#7. BAMA WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP! & that's all I need to say on that one.

Now that everyone has been refreshed on my life happenings, I will post a few pictures of the past couple months :)

in Opp for the weekend..
 me and B-del's birthday gathering..
 quality time with the Texans..
Valentines Day pic with the rooomie..
we are the champions..

Okay, enough pictures for now! Spring break is next week and hopefully I will be bouncing out of T-town on Thursday! Also, the Rattlesnake Rodeo is the last weekend of March and I have to admit that I am pretty pumped about taking all my favorites to the famous event.
I'm out.
Goodbye Blog World :)

3 days away..

Neglecting my blog was never in my plan, but I have succeeded to do so since before my Thanksgiving break. So since my last post I have taken a road trip to Oklahoma, joined the Twitter world, finished up with all my classes, shot at some skeet, and decked out in tacky Christmas attire for our churches Christmas party. Here are a few pictures..

These were taken over Thanksgiving at my Grandpa's in Oklahoma..

Yesterday afternoon I went on a little skeet shooting adventure with Sydney, Jordan, Mike, Brandon, and Adam. Mike, who is from Pennsylvania, doesn't have a country bone in his body. He rode on a dirt road and shot a gun for the first time in his life yesterday. And I'm sure y'all are wondering who hit the first skeet they shot at?! This girl :)

Friday night I went to a tacky Christmas party at our church. I was kind of freaking out Thursday when I still didn't have anything to wear, but Friday afternoon me and Alaina hit the jackpot when we stumbled across a hole in the wall consignment shop. The lady was so funny, and she had a rack full of Christmas sweatshirts.

This semester truly has flown by and now I am officially 2 finals and 3 days away from CHRISTMAS BREAK!!! I can't wait to be back in Opp for a while. It has been such a great semester, and I have made so many new friendships that I am super thankful for. I hope everyone is enjoying this Christmas season :)

in the life of Norfly..

First off, my beautiful little sister won her high school's beauty pageant last Thursday night. She looked gorgeous, as always, and I was so proud that I was able to be there to watch her!

So.. Congrats to my Sissy Dog! I'm so proud of you :)

Last weekend was definitely one of the best ones I have had in quite a while. My sweet friends and I decided that we would go on a little road trip, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Friday night we traveled to the big town of Athens, Alabama and stayed at Jordan's house. Saturday morning we headed to Decatur to stay with my Aunt Kim and Uncle Jeff. We spent most of the day outside just enjoying the beautiful fall weather. The boys played football until there was absolutely no sunlight left, Brandon and Mike got to experience a 4-wheeler ride for the first time ever, and we enjoyed a little Alabama football that night.

I am so thankful for this group of friends that God has blessed me with! They are the best :)

catching up.

Thanks to my extremely boring art history class, I am finally getting a little time for another blog post! Here's just a little recap of the things that went on at the end of last week. Thursday night my dear friend Alaina cooked supper for me and then we went to support our friends in a flag football game which was  followed by a little wobbling action at Lakeside. By Friday, ESPN College Gameday was here and everyone was setting up tents for tailgating, so focusing in human development was pretty much impossible. That night I went with Hayley and Alaina to Birmingham to fill our bellies at the Cheesecake Factory and do a little shopping at Charming Charlie and Francesca's. When we got back to Tuscaloosa we met up with Sydney and went to band parties and such. Saturday, of course, was the Bama vs. LSU game. No explanation needed for that one. Sunday consisted of church, a 4 hour nap and some last minute studying for 2 test that happened today. So other than the sad loss we had this weekend, it has been a pretty great few days.

before going out on Friday night

Jason, Mike, Brandon, Ryan, Me, Syd & Ali tailgating on Saturday

I found this online and thought it was pretty funny. This is the line to get into the student gate before the LSU game. Dedicated fans?

So here's a few things I am thankful for (since I haven't kept up with doing this everyday like I planned to)
- Cooler weather. The leaves are turning colors and I just can not get enough of it. I just love this fall weather!
- Verizon. Cell phone service on game day is awful. I am thankful for my provider somehow giving me service through the whole day.
- Pinterest. The most amazing way to waste time.

Here it Goes..

Hello everyone! This is my blogging debut, and I am somewhat excited about this. I thought that since I finally moved out of the good ole Land of Opportunity that this would be a great way for the rest of my friends and family who are elsewhere to keep up with me.

So since it is November, I am going to try to post everyday about something that I am thankful for. Some of my Facebook friends are doing this and I think it is a perfect way to get my blog started.

Today I am thankful for the University of Alabama. All throughout high school I really didn't know what I wanted to do once I graduated. My senior year I decided that I wanted to come here, and it was the only school I applied to. Although I am still undecided on my major, I really could not see myself anywhere else. I look forward to walking across the quad with the squirrels, watching pre-game videos in Bryant-Denny and having late night board game parties with my friends. UA rocks. The end :)
